What a fun afternoon the inaugural Lady Sketchy’s was! It was lovely to have friends old and brand new gathering together to eat, laugh, draw and chat.

We started with some 3 min sketches, exploring line and shape. We then moved on to 5-10 min sketches, exploring blocks of colour (dark and light) and the spaces in between objects.

We learnt how to measure objects and determine proportions for sketching. And Lynx Lion demo’d how to create form through loose lines, hatching, cross hatching and chaos hatching.

And finally we brought it all together and practiced our new skills with a sketch of an object / skull.
