Weird creatures are all around us
I see strange creatures and faces everywhere – in rocks, tree bark, fossils, walls, fence palings and even in floor tiles. For the last 10 years, I have been turning them into illustrations and writing stories about them. During this time, I have developed a substantial library, with more than 100 whimsical creatures.
Usually these illustrations are very small and painted onto recycled business cards. Each art card is hand-painted and built up in layers. They are often finished off with little pieces of wisdom. I’ve been fascinated with words and a word collector since I was a child and these wisdoms come from many sources. Some are borrowed from quotations, song lyrics or my favourite authors and artists, others are created by me.

Housed in my custom made miniature art gallery, they have been exhibited multiple times.
